Not This time....But ? Clomid vs Injectibles
well I'm out this month. AF reared her ugly head over the weekend. I'm so dissapointed. I guess because when we did our first IUI last time i became pregnant with DD so I was hoping the first time we would get lucky again.
We pay everything OOP, so with the holidays coming up, we have to wait until after the new year to try again.
However, I have a question. Clomid seems to work for me. My body responds well to it, I produce a mature follicle every time i take it (150mg).
What is the difference between taking Clomid or taking other drugs, like injectibles? Would you move on to other types if your NOT producing a mature follicle?

I'm sorry 
I'm starting injectibles this cycle, but I am a very (i mean extremely) slow responder to clomid/femara. They have me on femara for 5 days then starting follistim tomorrow. If you are responding to the clomid I think they will most likely not put you on injectibles.

Clomid 100 = 1 follie
Gonal 150= 5-8 follies

I responded well to everything. Injections (Gonal f) was crazy though. They gave me the selective reduction talk. In the end it took ivf for me.

Yes. The more mature follies the better bc there isn't always a mature egg in each follie. Unless you are not ok with twins or selective reduction.
