Gyms with Babysitting?
I've heard that these do exist, I just don't know how to go about locating one. I'm in the Mineola area. Does anyone know any co-ed gyms that offer child care services? and if anyone knows about how much extra that would be, please let me know too! Thanks!

I go to Xsport in Massapequa and it does so I would think the one at Roosevelt field does too.

Re: Gyms with Babysitting?
I'm a member of Big Al's and they have childcare. I believe they have a partner gym in Westbury, Sweat NY.
I admit I haven't been utilizing my membership lately, but I am not thrilled with the customer service at Big Al's, and I wonder if it's the same at Sweat. That would be the only thing I would warn you about (maybe pay your membership up front in cash only too).
I often get incentives like free training that I think would get me back in the gym and when I call or email to try to set stuff up, they never call me back.
The only reason I haven't cancelled yet is because it's a pretty cheap membership for what it includes.
While I haven't used the childcare yet, that is also pretty inexpensive.
I am paying $19.99 a month and that includes all of their classes (I know the training is extra and I believe some of their fitness programs/crossfit type classes). Childcare I want to say you can pay an additional $10.00 a month or just as you go which I believe is $2.00 a session. From what I remember they are also open for childcare during the peak hours (like after work or around 9AM).

Gyms with Babysitting?
I'm SO sorry you're having a bad experience at Big Al''s. I think the rather young staff is part of the issue.
Sweat is their partner gym and the y have babysitting. Just not as many classes as Big Al's.
You can try either location for 5 days on a pass

I have to agree with the PP the some of the staff isnt the best. Luckily I had a great guy show me around when I first signed up otherwise I would have never signed up. I also find the childcare hours not that great either.
I havent been there in a long time though since I hurt my back.

Re: Gyms with Babysitting?
I met a couple of the older trainers and teachers who work there and I think they are fine.
The gym does have a rep around town though for poor customer service, unfortunately.
I'm not quitting yet however.
I need to get my butt back in gear.
I love that there's hardly anyone around in the hours I like to go.
