thinking of having a brunch for dd's 1st bday.
What's you fav brunch dish?
Any recipes you have to offer?
I'm excited. I've never hosted a brunch before. I have so many ideas in my head but want to see what other people do.
TIA

Re: brunch?
Love quiches. They always go over well. Instead of big quiches make a bunch of mini, bite size quiche so you can have all different types.
Roast turkey is always good, maybe served at room temp with nice soft rolls, a cranberry relish, and a homemade potato salad.
Light pasta dishes like penne with pesto or penne with garlic and oil. Maybe add some grilled chicken.
French toast casserole, you can make it the night before and just bake it right before the party.
Fruit salad, cheese platters, pastries, bagels, muffins, and other assorted baked goods.
Set up a beverage bar. Coffees with assorted flavored creamers, teas, cocoa, and assorted juices.
Try Pinterest for recipe and brunch ideas. They have so many good ones! I love the brunch idea for a birthday, I may do that for my son's 1st birthday this March.

brunch?
I just hosted brunch for the first time. I got a platter of mini bagels and a platter of pastries. Made an egg, sausage and cheese breakfast casserole and a french toast bake (with cream cheese and raspberry preserves - so good!) (and you can make both of these the night before and just put in the oven in the morning). I also made chicken francaise and had a fruit salad, green salad and cheese and crackers.
Oh, also had bacon (Don't know how I forgot that!!!)

Re: brunch?
thanks great ideas
I know dd's bday is in March as well. it's just so different for us. Nobody usually does brunch in our families. I think it will go over well. Plus we are in CT and our families hate coming here. haha they hate traveling and at night it's dark so it's hard when you are not form here lol
