*update* missed m/c? (tmi warning)
went to the dr and they couldn't pinpoint exactly why I am bleeding for so long. The ultrasound was clear except for a small cyst which the NP says shouldn't affect anything and will disappear on its on. Just waiting on the results from the blood test to see if it's hormonal. I took a hpt at the office and it came back negative, so a m/c is most likely ruled out depending on the blood test. I go back this Friday to speak with my dr. Really disappointed I missed this gtg- will try to make the next one
typically when you have a chemical pregnancy or miscarriage, how long do you normally bleed for?
I swear I've been bleeding bright red bloodfor 18 days. It's to the point now where I am so tired, sluggish and not myself, that I started taking iron supplements because I have lost so much blood. I called my dr and they want me to come in today for an emergency appt, but they refused to give me any details regarding what it may be. And of course, I checked with Dr. Google and all that's coming up is miscarriages.
Anyone ever been through this?

missed m/c? (tmi warning)
Me! And they don't know why.. I used to bleed for 2+ weeks (not heavy) and that was caused by polyps and fibroids. Again it's happening (12+ super heavy) and no one knows why. It could be hormonal, endo, or lack of ovulation which is probably the issue in my case. With each of my m/c's I never bled for more than a week but I'm sure it could cause abnormal bleeding.

18 days of bleeding is a long time to wait to call your dr. I hope everything turns out ok! Keep us updated.

I most definitely did not bleed that long with either of my mc's. one was a normal period (chemical) and the mc at around 6/7 weeks was heavy for 4 days, 1 week of spotting before, and 1 week of spotting after.

I've had 2 and each time bled for 6 or 8 days.
Good luck and keep us updated, I'm curious to know what they tell you. Hope you feel better soon!
