apps to go with....

I am making pulled pork and mac and cheese for friends tomorrow.

What are a couple of good apps to serve before? Usually I am all about app ideas, but I guess I am bored of the usual ones!

I was looking up app recipes online for Super Bowl and found a recipe for coconut shrimp from skinnytaste. It looks easy to make and has great reviews.

I have made quinoa burgers in the past and I loosely followed a recipe from foodbabe.com. Instead of sweet potato that was in the recipe I used butternut squash and left out garam masala powder, curry powder, clove, and mustard seeds. Instead of cayenne pepper, I diced a hot pepper and mixed it in. For Super Bowl, I plan to make these into balls rather than burgers or patties.

crab salad in puff pastry or phyllo cups

hush puppies
spinach and artichoke dip
