Removing and installing laminate flooring
We have a leak somewhere in our kitchen. We are seeing water come through the seems of the flooring. Hopefully we will figure out where the water is coming from and get the issue resolved. We will have to replace the flooring though.
Any tips of removing flooring and replacing new planks?

is it glue down???? Glue down tends to be more difficult to do just a few planks.
Do you have extra from the original install? If not you will have issues matching. Even if you get the same brand and color it will be off from wear and tear.

We do have extra - the previous owners left it for us. Not sure if we have enough for the whole floor though. If its off a little its ok, the kitchen is pretty closed off from the rest of the house. I'm not sure if its glued down. The kitchen is tiny (original Levitt home). I'm wondering if I should just have someone do it for us - we are so broke though LOL. We plan to redo the whole floor, not just the affected ones.

It can totally be done since you have extras. I would try and fix it and wait and do all the floors at once if that is what you are going to do.
Do you still have the original heat in the floors? We do and I always worry about a leak that way. The other thing that happened to us was our frig was leaking at the water connection in the back. It was causing the tile to lift but further away from the frig.

Thanks!! We just moved in 8 months ago, so I'm not sure about the heat. We thought it may be the dishwasher. I'm hoping its a easy fix. I have a plumber coming tomorrow morning
