Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner questions...

I hear this is very popular, we just got our floors installed 3months ago, the installers said use nothing but warm water and a mop for the first year.

With all this snow and grime, I need more than water. I just don't want anything to ruin the finish, it is brand new - how is Bona with finishes - does it leave any residue behind?

We use Swiffer in our kitchen with old linoleum flooring and I think it is sticky and gross.

I honestly don't love Bona. For a good cleaning, I use the old school Murphy's oil and then the Bona for the weekly upkeep. I should add, I don't have the Bona mop or anything, just the soap. I'm a wash cloth, hands and knees kinda girl

I don't care too much for the bona either. I find that it leave a white film on the the floors. Murphy's oil and warm water, make sure you ring out the mop well, so that there not much water on the floors.

I would just use water like they said. We have the Bissell steam mop and it works wonders.

For 5 years I've used Bona and Murphys oil and I was getting so fed up with my floors looking like crud one day after mopping. I realized it was the buildup of wax in those products. We've been using just the steam mop for 3 months now and have noticed a HUGE difference. Now my floors look and feel cleaner longer.

Thank you all ! I think I will stick to the water and mop for now :)
I feel they are so perfect right now, since they are new, scared to get a residue
