Not a good morning
The embryologist called. We're down to one, but it hasn't progressed enough for the biopsy. So we can do a blind transfer tomorrow. I'm concerned about that because if it's not progressing as it should, does that mean it's not viable? Or we can wait til later in the day for them to biopsy it, but then we'd have to freeze it and do a frozen cycle at another time after the biopsy comes back. But then we've got to worry about losing it in the freezing and thawing process. My heart hurts...

The embryologist really wouldn't make a recommendation. I'm waiting to hear back from the RE.

So sorry. Personally I would probably transfer it now. Then it is what it is. It can just be slow and may do better inside you. I don't think its worth biopsying and/or doing a FET. Is there a specific concern and thats why you are biopsying? If you had more to work with then biopsying/FET would be worth it. Thats just my opinion though.
So sorry. Hang in there.

I would transfer it asap!!!!! I'm so sorry! I had a similar situation last IVF cycle and only one embie made it and I just transferred it. I got pregs but lost it unfortunately but you still have a chance.

Not a good morning
Waiting to hear back from the RE, but we're leaning towards the blind transfer tomorrow. Because of my age and DOR, they were concerned about egg quality and had recommended the biopsy.

Re: Not a good morning
Just had a totally useless conversation with the doctor, who couldn't really do better than "there are no good answers in a situation like this." No sh!t! You went to medical school to figure that out??? I don't expect her to have a crystal ball, but just give me some guidance based upon your prior experience and medical knowledge. If in 99% of cases an embryo like ours fails, we'll probably do the biopsy. If our odds are better, that would change our decision.
She's going to discuss it with others in the office and get back to me.

Not a good morning
I'm 5 days post retrieval. I haven't been able to get a straight answer about what day/grade our poor little embie is. They said it made it to blastocyst stage and there is a cavity, but it's not as big or doesn't have as much fluid as it should by now. We were going to do transfer today, but there was a miscommunication and then dr wasn't available. So now it'll be 9:30 tomorrow, assuming the embryo doesn't stop developing overnight. Thank you to all for your kind words and support!
