Please help me pick out a piece of jewelry!
If you had $500 to spend at a jeweler, what would you choose? I'm thinking I want a necklace but I'm not 100%. When I look around I don't see anything that jumps out and says "buy me!". I need some inspiration!

It depends on what you already have. This might sound strange but you can get a lot for your money at Costco. I would look there to see if here is something you like.

Thank you. I'm actually asking because I'm retuning a gift and I can only get a store credit at this particular jeweler. It's an independent store (which happens to be in Manhattan, making it more annoying).
I'm not a huge jewelry person, all I wear on a daily basis is diamond studs and my e-ring/wedding band. I have other jewelry but I don't wear it that often. I guess most of it is on the dressy side.
The piece I originally wanted is no longer being made and I was hoping to get smoothing similar but what they ordered for me is no good. Now I'm being told I can only exchange for store credit, which wasn't what we were first told but that's a whole other story.

UGH. That sounds annoying. My everyday necklace is a gold heart and I wear it with a diamond stud that I received for a different occasion. It is simple but I receive a lot of complements on it. I would look for either a simple gold bangle bracelet or a simple chain with a nice pendant that you could wear daily. Alternatively, I would look for a cocktail ring.
