Recommendations for company to gut my house
I posted on another board but didn't get any feedback, figured I'd try again. Curious if anyone has someone they would recommend. TIA!

Have you thought about doing it yourself and just getting a dumpster. Demo is the easiest and most fun part of renovations.

Re: Recommendations for company to gut my house
Dumb question - do you need a permit when you do the demo? I read that a dumpster in front of your house will attract town inspector immediately... Not sure if this is true though. I am guessing that demo may not require the permit, but they may find out that you are doing work and keep coming back to see what you actually built when demo is completed? Does it make sense?
In general, I do not know much about potential inspectors coming to your house and so, that is why just asking... Thanks!

Conversely it is the dirtiest most physically demanding work performed by the lowest paid workers
A little Sheetrock in a small room isn't the end of the world.... Plaster and tile... Can be a real pain
I have a guy I've used in the past, just having trouble locating the number. Demo Dan in Wantagh. He demos and carts away. He did a lot in my old house. And took off the whole2nd floor plus the inside of the first floor on my current house

Nope no permit. At least not li. If you are in NYC it's different I'm sure.

Thanks for the info. We just don't have the time or energy to do it ourselves.
