Question re: Chemical

At just shy of 5 weeks, my hcg dropped from 88 to 12. That was a week ago. So far, I haven't had any bleeding or cramping. I went back to the OB/GYN today for another blood draw to see if my hcg has gone back to normal. The nurse practitioner said that I may not have anything until my next AF.

Just wondering if anyone else has had their hcg go back to normal without having any other symptoms.

Mine was different, my chemical barely ever registered, so I had AF at 5 weeks. I'm sure AF will come by next week. It'll probably just feel like a delayed AF, so probably next week you'll start having cramps and bleeding just like you would with AF.

Thanks for responding. I just feel like I keep waiting for something to happen or for more bad news that my body's not doing yet another thing properly.

I'd give it another week, those beta's are so low that there likely won't be anything to pass necessarily, it'll probably just feel like a heavy/clotty AF. It's never easy.

I have had two chemicals, one my beta peaked at 16 (although I had darker lines a few days before my beta so my HCG likely peaked higher than that) and one my beta peaked at 99. In both cases I bled like AF when my levels were down to 0 or close to it. With the first chemical I started spotting the day my beta was 11, and AF started the following day. With the second chemical I had a beta of 27 and started AF 2 days later. Then I had a normal cycle immediately following in both cases. Everyone is different though...
