we are moving to EM in 3 weeks and are getting to know the area
just wondering if you can recommend your favorites...
restaurant (for delivery and eat in)
dry cleaners
nail salon
hair salon & barber shop
anything else you can think of please share

Dry cleaner: Green Island Cleaners on Front St.
Nails: Angel Tips Nails (same shopping center as dry cleaner on Front St. by Marshalls}
Hair: Creative Impressions on East Meadow Ave
Barber: my DH gets his hair cut at Plaza Barbers in Broadway Mall, Hicksville
Food: Pizzeria - we like Papa Louie's on Newbridge Rd.
To go out for Italian we go to Domenico's on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown or Borrelli's on Hempstead Tpke in East Meadow.

Chinese - Chun Chun Kitchen, Bellmore
nail salon - spa and relaxation on sunrise in Bellmore
hair salon - Bangz in Bellmore. I use Cynthia for color and Vivian for cut
barber shop - my son goes to Rich and Famous in east meadow

Dry cleaners: French Plaza Cleaners on Hempstead Turnpike (its in the shopping center with the gym and Mandee's) Been using them for years and even though I don't live in East Meadow anymore I drive there for all my dry cleaning. Pita Lovers has good sandwiches.
Nail Salon: Angel Tip (Marshall's parking lot on French street). There's also a good one that's on Merrick next to the Chinese buffet.
Food: Borelli's has good Italian food. I don't like any of the pizza places in E.M, Pietro's is awful and overpriced so don't bother. Calda (Levittown) is really good, that's right on the border.

Welcome to the area! I am in North Bellmore, close to the East Meadow border.
Nail salon - Fantastic Nail Salon and Spa (on N. Jerusalem, in CVS and Taste of Home Shopping Center)
Food - Borelli's is good for casual Italian. I also love Elisa's on N. Jerusalem in N. Bellmore for slightly more upscale Italian. Mama Gina's on Jerusalem in N. Bellmore is also a good pizza place.
Uncle Giuseppe's on Hempstead Tpke is great for catering.
I go to a lot of restaurants and stores in Bellmore, Merrick, Wantagh more than East Meadow, so if you want any recommendations there, just let me know!

Restaurant: Yuzu on EM Ave for Japanese; Thai Station on Merrick Ave (Merrick) for Thai, Lia's Pizzaria for pizza. Colony Diner is my favorite in the area. If you're Jewish, there's a great Kosher butcher on Merrick Ave in the NY Sports Club shopping center.
Dry Cleaner: The Dry Cleaner on Hempstead Tpke in EM (same center as Lia's).
Nail Salon: Lucia's Nails on Newbridge Ave.
Hair Salon: Creative Impressions. Ask for Brenda.
Barber: My DH goes somewhere on Merrick Ave in Merrick, a few blocks north of the train station, but I totally forget the name.
