Repairing RUINED nails?

I don't have great nails or cuticles to begin with ......
but I did a few gel manicures ....it didn't last on my nails AT ALL. Chiipped, peeled - what a disappointment.

And now my nails are paper thin and splitting - and my cuticles are a dry, torn up hang nail MESS ......

What is the best and quickest way to repair the damage? I know I have to just them grow out and start over .......but do you have any tips ??

Isn't that a viatmin?
Or do I need to actually put it on my nails?

It's a vitamin, take it daily.

Re: Repairing RUINED nails?

I would also use Nail Envy or a Nailtique.
that helped my nails as well.

Re: Repairing RUINED nails?

Nailtique or Nailtek but follow the instructions to the letter.
It says to use it as a base coat, then 2 coats of polish (if you wear polish) then a top coat of it.
Then to repeat the top coat every day for a week, remove all old polish and repeat.
This keeps the nail layers bonded together so they dont' split and peel and can get stronger.

I find if I really follow the regimen it does work.
I also take a hair, skin, nail vitamin with biotin.

I use Nailtek- the intensive therapy one for splitting, peeling nails.
I get it in Ulta

I used aquaphor on my nails when I took my wraps off.Took a while for the new nails to grow out, but the aquaphor was the best at keeping the nails from drying out. I also did not polish them for a long time, remover is too drying.

Repairing RUINED nails?

Nailtiques formula 2. Same thing happened to me and unfortunately it took at least 3 months for my nails to recover.

Use cuticle oil on your nails every day. Cuticles are responsible for keeping your nails hydrated and healthy! If you don't have cuticle oil, Olive oil works just as well!

Biotin made me break out like a 13 year old boy! I was so bummed.

Repairing RUINED nails?

Duri Rejuvacote. Nailtek and Nailtiques never worked for me because of meds i am on. Cuticle oil daily as well as Nail Magic. These all made my nails grow the damaged part out quickly and now theyre super healthy and much longer. Good luck!

Re: Repairing RUINED nails?

thanks all !
I have to get the nalitek stuff ........I found tea tree oil next to the regular cuticle oil - and since cuticle oil never works for me I decided to try it -

I smell like the nursery seciotn of Home Depot - but it WORKS SO WELL for my cuticles - they're not great by any means, but overnight they were 100% better !!
