Afternoon Tea Service
I found online they do an Afternoon Tea Service at Garden City Hotel - Polo Lounge. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would you recommend?
I'm open to other tea suggestions as well...I'm in western Nassau looking to take my mother and MIL who are both local...so not too much traveling.

Afternoon Tea Service
Chat Noir in RVC is very nice. It's not a high tea service, but it's a very nice tea service. You HAVE to make reservations though, otherwise you'll never get a table.

I was going to suggest Chat Noir also.

Re: Afternoon Tea Service
I've been to the high tea at Garden City Hotel a couple of times. It's really nice. They make it very elegant, but you don't have to get super dressed up for it.

Re: Afternoon Tea Service
My mom and I go for afternoon tea probably twice a year so we've been to tons of spots on Long Island and in the city. We have done the Garden City Hotel and liked it. They serve a traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. You can also do their champagne tea which gets you some champagne and berries to start.
As others have mentioned, Chat Noir in RVC is a great option and I actually like it better than the Garden City Hotel. They also serve the traditional afternoon tea but in a more relaxed environment. I also like that they offer a variety of iced teas as an option. Most importantly, their scones and pastries are to die for! Yum!! When you call for reservations ask for one of the window tables.
Have fun! Now I need a scone.
