Hardwood Flooring Cost

Our house is about 1500 square feet. All carpet right now (with the exception of bathroom and kitchen). I would love wood floors but am curious how much money we'll need to budget.

Approximately, half the house has wood floors under the carpet so we would need to refinished, stained, etc. after ripping out exisiting carpet but the other half is just sub-floor under the carpet.

We are in the same situation...half our floors are wood under carpet, the other is just subfloor. We are getting an estimate from gold star this week.
