Flat Iron Help! Babyliss, Sedu, GHD...Which?
Please help! I've had a Chi for a long time and want to invest in a new iron, one that's terrific. All three of these have similar reviews therefore I don't know which way to go. I believe Babyliss is a drop less expensive but since I'm going to be spending a lot no matter what I want to purchase the best one. If you've had or have any of these please tell me what you like or dislike about it.

I bought a Sedu based on the reviews but I didn't like it at all. I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and bought this one but with 2-inch plates and I love it!

I have the babyliss nano titanium. I love it. I had a different babyliss before this one, it lasted a long time...the only reason I had to get rid of it was because it fell a few times and the plates cracked. I'm able to straighten my hair really quickly. I recently cut my hair, but before I did it more than half way down my back. It doesn't make my hair feel dry. I love my babyliss. Only brand I will buy.

Which size plate do you recommend? 1", 1 and 1/2" or 2"? I can't figure out what I would prefer and don't want to purchase the wrong width.

my reasoning is odd -- it just didnt "feel" right. Something about the grip and the pressure -- babyliss seemed "loose"

Which Chi though? Mine is a Chi Turbo that I've probably had for 6 years at least. It does work but has seen better days as the plate is getting rusty. I'd love to know what model Chi one to look at please.
When I got my hair done this weekend at a nice salon they said Babyliss is the best, hence why I wrote this post to ask you ladies your feelings on it.

I had a Sedu, but it died much sooner than it should have. I replaced it with a GHD. I was surprised at first that you can't adjust the heat setting, but it works well for me.

I have a 1 inch ghd and love it! I've had it for about 6 years now and it works just as good as the day I got it.

I've had the Babyliss for about 3 years and to be honest I really don't like it. I've used my SIL's CHI and it leaves my hair silky smooth and shiny. The Babyliss never seems to get my hair shiny and as straight. It's also done a lot of damage to my hair because I have to keep going over it instead of it straightening it fully on the first go around.

Do you have thick hair? Mine is, and coarse.... Thinking of trying this one but I'm not sure if the 1inch is big enough.
