Looking for recommendations for summer camp

Looking for a recommendation for a camp for my 5 year old son who is going into kindergarten next year. Could be half day or full. My parents offered to watch him but I think he'll get bored ( and spoiled!) thanks!

Also, any reviews of woodmont or camps r us would be appreciated

Looking for recommendations for summer camp

I signed DS up for Campus R Us this year instead of daycare. He's 4 but will be 5 late summer and starting kidergarten as well.

This is be DS's first year but my SIL sent her kids and my neighbor sent 4 of her kids and they all rave about it.

Looking for recommendations for summer camp

Hofstra does a great summer camp and they have a special program called Cub Camp for 5-6 year olds. This allows them to be with the same kids all day.

Re: Looking for recommendations for summer camp

I had asked for info about Woodmont awhile back and no one responded. It seemed a little high and there were lots of extra charges.

We decided to send DS back to Our Redeemer in Seaford where he went last year. It's 5 weeks, Tues thru Thurs in the morning.

His aunt is then taking him to a soccer program on Friday mornings with his cousins.

Mondays the grandparents wanted to leave open to take him and his cousins to do different trips and activities.

He'll be Upstate with my parents for a week in June, and another week, maybe two in August. They also have free VBS camp up there for a week.

Re: Looking for recommendations for summer camp

we have used Big Chief in East Meadow since summer before DD went to K. She is 10 now and still loves it. We found the price to be about middle of the road. The staff is great and they are so good with the kids. She has a blast every year sand can't wait for it to begin again. When they are older, they do outside trips to horseback riding, archery, fishing, rock climbing etc. They have 2 pools, hot lunch, a lot of fun activities
