My face hates me

I am at a loss here. I don't really break out but my t-zone is so oily. My makeup doesn't stay. My pores are very obvious. Primers just do not like me at all. I have tried so many things. I don't even mind spending a little extra but I need something that REALLY works.

Help please!!

Re: My face hates me

I used to have a really oily t-zone. I am embarrassed by the pictures I have of myself in my 20's. Looks like I lubed my face up with baby oil. I stopped wearing make up because I thought it made it worse. Once I started using bare minerals my face is totally different. I used their primer as well and no more oily t zone. I'd try it. I actually got it done at the mall and walked around with it for a few hours to see what would happen and it looked perfect all day so I went back and purchased it.

Re: My face hates me

I have this problem too, and I bought a cheapy clarisonic type brush (the rite aid brand, actually) and it really has made a huge difference in texture, pores, breakouts, etc. Before I had flakes AND pimples right in the same place... wtf... but washing w/this has really seemed to help.

I have the Clarisonic, it really does nothing but exfoliate, my pores are still really visible. I have even tried switching brushes and cleansers.

NervousNell I just bought that yesterday, so far it seems okay but nothing special. Definitely did not help when wearing makeup, I still got oily and lost my makeup in the normal spots. I will give it a few more days, going to try and use it alone.

I Would look at your skin care more than make up.

DO you use anything for oil control? You can use oily skin products just where you need them.

I find salicylic acid & clay masks good for clogged pores.

Also--for makeup, dry putting a light dusting of powder over your primer & under your foundation.

This might be part of the problem, I don't use anything geared towards oily skin. I do have a mask that I like but I never really have time to use it.

I have heard of that powder method, I am going to give it a try. Thanks!

Also try it in combination with this over it:

Yes. This is your last step after you are all done applying all makeup.
It's a setting mist.
