Hates water on his face at bath time
What do i do?? I have to rinse the soap out of his hair and water gets on his face and he screams! Correction...he screams, kicks, cries, and smacks his face to get the water off! Bath time is starting to become traumatizing for ME! I tried one of those hats that go around his head to keep the water from his face but he hated it and cried more. What else can i do?? Anyone elses kid do this?

this is DS now and its all of a sudden!! ive always used the cup with the suction, but now he flips if he sees it. so im now using a big red cup and putting my hand on his forehead. last night was successful...i explained to him that water on his face wont hurt. and i let him take the cup and pour it on himself. DS is 20 months

yes it was like out of the blue! he used to love bath time and now i say "bath" and he starts crying. i tried the red cup he still cries. i just keep repeating to him that baths are a must and im sorry but we have to take a bath. he whines the whole time until the actual bathing is over and then he plays lol.

DS is like this too. We gave him a dry washcloth that he holds to his face so we can rinse his hair. Sure, it gets wet a little, but he doesn't notice really. It has made a big difference!

Same here, DS would freak out, tried everything. I give him a small hand towel, he covers his face and looks up to the ceiling while I rinse. Worked wonders!!!

im trying so hard not to use the washcloth. only because when i was little i was terrified of water on my face too and my mom gave me the washcloth. i depended on it so much, i had to have it until i was a teenager! i would only wash my face in the sink and never in the shower.
