Resume writers

Has anyone used one of those companies that review your resume and then basically rewrite it and reformat it?

Was it worth the $$$?

I have not.

My suggestion based on HR people feedback and where I work, is that you need to tweek your resume to match the job description you are applying for anyway, so why pay for something you can do yourself?

Especially if you have to tweek it frequently.

Also many people who work in your field may be gracious enough to look at yours for free and make recs.

I write them, and know that I charge less than a big company.

What field are you in?
