I'm officially back! and Advice....
Hello Ladies! 
I was on here for a long while back in 2011-2013.
I had my  in Feb of 2013 after trying for many years to have a baby. I have PCOS so we knew it would be a struggle.
Last year, we decided to try again in October but we kind of kept it hush hush and it didn't pan out. We had to put the  for a baby on the back burner because in October we had to pay OOP and we didn't have extra cash to spend like that laying around so we figured we would save up again. DH started a new job 3 months ago and his insurance now covers infertility!  so i went to a new RE today. Genesis Fertility in Brooklyn. I met with Dr. Katherine Ross. I really liked her and they are conveniently located near my home.
They did a sonogram today and they found a huge cyst sitting on top of my left ovary and fallopian tube.
They want me to have an HSG done to see if its a benign cyst just sitting there hanging out or to see if God forbid, there is a tear in the tube which is causing the cyst to blow up. Worst case scenario, they would have to remove the tube, but i don't want to think about that just yet. She said it could either be a Paratubal Cyst (benign) or Hydrosalpinx (tubal tear) Does anyone have any experience with either of these?
They ran a new panel of bloodwork today and she noted that i did have a follicle on my right ovary. They will call me tomorrow to let me know if i ovulated yet. If i didn't, i can have the HSG done on Thursday (please - fingers crossed and prayers that I haven't ovulated yet!  ) if I have, then I will need to wait until after I get my period - although my average cycles now-a-days have been 45-50 days long so who knows when that will be 
Until then, I look forward to chatting, encouraging and praying with you ladies, old and new! I'm not able to log on very often during the day because I'm usually busy with DD, but at night, I'll be here!

Welcome! When was your daughter born in feb? My son was born valentines day 2013!! We've been trying for #2 for a little over a year now. We started early bc I knew it would prob take a while!
Hopefully you didn't ovulate and can get right on this cycle! Good luck!!

I'm officially back! and Advice....
No such luck....I ovulated. Now I just have to wait until my period decides to show up. That means this next cycle is out and even if everything is OK I have to wait until my next period decides to show up which means at the earliest my next period won't arrive until like the end of September.
My husbands current schedule only lasts till December. Afterwards, it gets all messed up with no set schedule so I have no idea how we will be able to plan out these visits with his schedule. Life sucks right now.

You can always freeze your husband's sample at the RE so you can have an IUI even if he's working.
Good luck, it'll work out!

Genesis is responsible for my DD (also born in February of 2013) and my little one due next month.
Dr. Ross wasn't my RE, but I met with her when I had a blood clot during my last IVF and loved her bedside manner.

I'm officially back! and Advice....
Oh man...sorry about the ovulation! I have heard of RE's freezing sperm because of work schedules such as those in the military or overseas. I also think the donor sperm is frozen too right?
