Central Air in the front of the house

Does anyone have their central air unit in the front of their house? It's the only logical place for us to put it (dead space where it would fit). Just trying to figure out what it would/could look like.

THANKS!

Maybe you could put bushes in front of it to "hide" it from sight.

We have it on the side of the house.
You really have to check with your town. You're going to need a permit and they most likely have certain restrictions on where it can be placed in your yard.

We have 2, on either side of our house. I would never put it in front, since it's just an eyesore and I can imagine it not helping resale.

There is someone around the block from is with it in front. They have like a partition/fence around it. It looks fine. Maybe some kind of bush would work too.

Thanks since we're 5th generation in the house I'm not worried about resale -- just can't picture what it would/could look like

But down the road if you or subsequent generations wanted to sell, you'd have trouble getting a c of o and a sale would be impossible. Also, if you decide to do other construction that definitely requires a permit, the inspectors will cite you. You want to make sure, for many reasons, that the location is ok with your town.
