Extension on a Hi Ranch?

Anyone ever extend their kitchen in their hi ranch? We are thinking if doing this eventually bit would love ideas and pictures. We have more than enough property to do this. Our kitchen is in the back so we would extend out. Thanks!

We are planning on doing an extension as well. The people who live behind us just did one. It's looks great. They only did the bottom level but we would be doing the top and bottom levels of our home. Our high ranch is used as a mother daughter so we have two kitchen. We plan on extending both kitchens and adding a bathroom.

I know someone who did this, and they did not extend the lower level underneath it and made a walkout covered patio. It is beautiful! The house is actually on the market now so I will FM you the MLS number.

I grew up in a high ranch, the two houses on either side of us were high ranches as well. The neighbors next to us did exactly as described- they extended the upstairs part where the kitchen is, and below is like a screened in porch/season room.
