Is it poor form to mix and match electricians?
I got great estimates for some work from 1 electrician and then great estimates for the other work from a different electrician.
Is it wrong to use two different electricians?

Is it poor form to mix and match electricians?
can you try negotiating with them to match the other guy's prices?
personally, i probably wouldn't use two diff guys - i just find it easier to work with one, even if the price is slightly higher.
That said, if the price difference is significant, i might try to use both, just not at the same exact time - that might be awkward.

I wouldn't use 2 different electricians, but instead, I would pick the electrician I felt most comfortable with and be honest with them -- "You gave me a really great quote for job #1, but other electricians came in better priced for job #2. I would really like to use you for both jobs -- can you match the competitors price?". If they want your business and the other quote is reasonable, they'll do it.

We got quotes from 2 electricians on our kitchen job. One was about $2k higher than the other, but was cheaper on a few specific parts of the job. We asked the other guy about his price on those and it turned out there were differences, for example, undercounter lighting. One used 2-3 small round lights, the other used a long LED strip. He said it would be cheaper if he used the small round lights but highly recommended going with the strip. We used one electrician for the entire job.

The issue is over hanging 2 light fixtures (replacing old ones). 1 electrician wants $150 for each (I didn't even pay that amount for 1 of them!!!). The other electrician wants $40 per fixture.
So $300 vs. $80

I would try and get them to match or lower their prices and still use one person.
But I think that if the totals for all the jobs are similar you will find that a lot of contractors won't price match for each individual item on the job list.

It's very easy to replace a light fixture, you don't need an electrician to do it...
