JH Resource room teachers

If you teach JH resource room, how do you structure your rr? How much time do you devote to reading/math etc? Any materials you have found useful? I have always taught SH and now I am going to JH, so it is an adjustment - especially towards CC!

What is JH? Junior high? I am a middle school RR teacher if that helps...I can tell you how I structure my room if you need any help.

I did resource room three years ago at the middle school level (6/7th grade). I only did it for one year but if you have any specific questions, feel free to message me. I would begin the period with a do now activity which incorporated an IEP goal/skill. I would then do a small mini-lesson on a reading, writing or math skill. I would usually end with some independent practice, conferences, skill building activities. I also had computers in my room at the time so I was able to incorporate games/writing activities that involved technology. I was also in communication with the content area teachers and requested updates on any problems. They were also very good about updating me when any big projects/tests were due so that I could support them in RR. Have a great year!
