Resource Room teachers
Wondering if anyone has some planning tools or templates that they use that they could share?
I am working with 6 classes this year. When I was a classroom teacher, it was so easy to organize my planner. How do you do it as a resource room teacher. I am thinking i would like a weekly template of some sort for each class where I could jot down quick plans, student notes, goals, etc. any suggestions? TIA!

Re: Resource Room teachers
I each at the high school level so I usually make a chart in MS Word for each resource room period and put the names of each student on the chart and then make columns for Mon- Fri. Does that make sense? I copy it double sided so one sheet of paper is for 2 weeks. I usually just fill in what we worked on/will need to accomplish.

For organization? or classroom procedures? Let me know what you need some tips with and I will let you know what I do.
For my resource rooms, I have a folder for each student (just a plain 2 pocket folder). In there I place tests that they need to finish, work they can do if they have nothing to do and etc... I get the students in the habit of checking the folder as soon as they walk in the room.

More for my own organization. I am on the elem. level and I work with 6 different classroom teachers. I do some push-in and some pull-out with each class. Just trying to think about how I want to organize my plans (which are very often the gen. ed. teacher's plans that I implement in a small group) and any notes/goals for each kid. thanks.......

Hmmm.. I don't really have much experience at the elem level. I have taught RR at the MS and HS level. I would give yourself some time and try to figure out some charts that would work for your situation. Sometimes I need time in a new situation to determine how I need to organize myself. Good luck!
