Teachers who tutor

Do you bring your own stuff for the student to work on, or do you mainly focus on their classwork/homework??

I will usually go over concepts that the student is covering at the time, and help with HW if there is time. (It's always interesting to see where the student is at.)I mostly tutor in the summer, where I do work to reinforce the previous year and prepare for the next year.

i do both and always ask the parent what they want me to do.

i don't think i should be paid to do HW with them, that's not tutoring unless i'm reteaching the concept. i try to reinforce what's learned in school and keep in contact with the classroom teacher.

I bring things of my own, and also do class work with them.
