Formula.....
What formula is everyone using and why are they using it. They are on the ready made Enfamil with Iron LIPIL. I will see how things go this week with Chris...has been pretty gassy and tried using that Mylicon drops and see if that works. I see the pediatrician this Friday.Do you use powder or ready made? Do you think one is better than the other??

Re: Formula.....
I use the same as you Diane. I use ready made for the night feedings and powder for the day feedings.
They both seem to be gassy and i plan to talk to the pediatrician about it the next time i see him.
I use that one because the hospital and doctor recommended it.

Re: Formula.....
I use Enfamil Lactofree in both powder and ready made and they love it..I also used Enfamil AR with added rice and they liked that too. Sometimes the Iron in the formula irratates their bellies and makes them constipated. yes the mylocon drops work and also the Little Tummies gas drops help..Maalox works too if it gets severe.

Re: Formula.....
Your pediatrician might suggest the Enfamil with low iron. I heard the iron makes them gassy.
I have similar problems when I take iron

Re: Formula.....
I know I'm not a twin momma -- but we use Good Start too...
The price is great since they send out $11 coupons and it has "comfort protiens" so for some babies that don't need soy or special formulas, but have a hard time with gas on regular formulas -- it's a good solution. That is why we switched to it from Enfamil.

Re: Formula.....
I used SImilac with Iron and Alimentium.
What bottles are you using? I started with Advent and when I switched to Dr Brown's I could not believe the difference. There was so much less gas.

Im using the Avent....if I have to change Chris's formula I will get different bottles to differentiate between the formula I put in the fridge.
It seems during the day they go every 3 hours and at night they can go 2 hours...is that normal??

Re: Formula.....
I'm not a twin mommy.....Hayley started on Similac with iron and was gassy ...I switched her to similac with low iron because she was so constipatedand still gassy. The Dr then switched her to Enfamil Gentlease and it helped and then I switched her to use the Dr Browns bottles and that helped too.I didn't need to use mylicon drops as often

That is what my boys did in the beginning. Now they go about 2 1/2 hours to 3 at night. During the day they are up to 3 1/2 hours now (but sometimes it can be 2 1/2 hours).
