Carpet recommendations?
OK, I know I asked before, but I don't remember getting much of a response. Need carpet recommendations, getting down to the wire and want this done before baby boy arrives in December.
I'm open to all recommendations and am also wondering if anyone has experience with Home Depot or Lowes carpets/carpet installation. We used Lowe's for our kitchen remodel recently and were very impressed with both the contractors/work and quality of our cabinets and counter.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Re: Carpet recommendations?
I definitely would recommend the Mohawk SmartStrand line of carpet. It's made from corn, so it's more environmentally friendly than a lot of other carpet. It's naturally stain-resistant (not just a spray-on resistant chemical), so the stain resistance lasts for the life of the carpet. It's very soft and comfortable to the touch.

I've had it in almost my entire house for about 5 years, and stains still come up immediately, and it still looks brand-new.
I got mine installed through HD. I was very happy with them. They even moved my huge, heavy entertainment unit from upstairs to the new livingroom we had carpeted.

Thank you! that's what I wanted to hear! I still have a ton of gc's to HD, so I'd really like to go with HD.

Installers with HD can vary greatly so I would try to get a rec for the actual one to use otherwise you are at their mercy and some are a nightmare.
I used Jim Flack in Farmingdale for my Den carpet!!

Re: Carpet recommendations?
we used home depot in March and the installers were great they were offering free installation based on the price of your order so we couldnt pass it up. they even called to follow up a day or two later to make sure we were happy and that all doors were able to open etc.
