Fireplace Inserts??? help
Hello All,
My DH and I are looking to purchase and have a gas insert installed, as we currently have a wood burning fireplace. Could you please provide any experience or recommendations on where to purchase one?
We live in Western Suffolk.
Thanks in Advance
Erica

We purchased our gas fireplace from a store in Franklin Square - I don't remember the name.

Re: Fireplace Inserts??? help
We just swapped out an old gas insert for a new one with all the bells and whistles. Cost 7k including install. Let me know if you want the name of the company we used.

Yes, please share the place you used? I think we are planning to go w/a mendota gas insert from Sleepy Hollow Fireplace in Deer Park. It will cost us $4700 inc install.

Re: Fireplace Inserts??? help
We used brick fix in center moriches. We priced put sleepy hollow and they originally said 1100 Install but that price quickly went up because they don't do any of the gas or electrical work. So that is additional. The 7k included everything with the company we used. Be careful with sleepy hollow it could end up costing a lot more!

We just got a Mendota from Sleepy Hollow(about $4400 Bentley model with arch surround). I'm sooooo darn excited to work the remote and sit my butt in front of such convenience!! We got a free vent kit and my DH is doing the install so it saved about 1500.
