Super frustrated!

So I was on birth control all ready for my ivf cycle and I had a water sono done Tuesday so they could submit everything to the insurance company. Well the insurance company (ghi) did not approve ivf at this time! Even though we've done 6 iuis and have had 2 analysis (one was poor and one was good) they said they want us to try 2 cycles of iui with injectibles first before moving onto ivf! I'm just super frustrated bc I already started taking the pill and was all ready to start the ivf process! So my ivf nurse told me to stop taking the pill and I should start to bleed in a few days and that will be cd 1 and then we can start injectibles with iui. Grrr thanks ladies for listening and responding!

IVF is a big step, even if you've done many IUIs. But IUIs with injectables can be very effective. I think it's worth trying them, and perhaps saving yourself from having to put yourself and your body through IVF. 2 IUIs with injectables seems reasonable. I known you were ready to move ahead, but this really could be for the best.

This may be a good cycle for you coming up! The water sono cleans the uterus and BCP can suppress your hormones to give you a good stim. I'd say go forward with the IUI and see what happens. I can see how frustrating that is though :/ they should have checked for the approval
Before but I guess they didn't what you missing out on a potential cycle.

Super frustrated!

Thanks ladies! I'm not as upset as I was yesterday but I think I was more upset bc I was ready mentally to start ivf and then was told I couldn't do it for another 2 cycles until I tried something else! I'm nervous that I'm going to respond well to the injectibles and have too many follicles for iui! But let's hope and pray this does the trick!
