First Pregnancy and HORRIBLE MS
Hi Ladies,
I am 9.5 weeks into my first pregnancy and I'm struggling hardcore with "morning" aka all day sickness. I was on Zophran but then it stopped working. My doctor has phoned in a prescription for Reglan which I will start taking tonight.
I went from being so thrilled to be pregnant to complete misery almost overnight. I just started a new job so I am suffering in silence at work all day. My husband has been trying to do anything he can to help me but this is the most isolating and debilitating thing that has ever happened to me.
I don't know what the point of this post is. I guess I'm just hoping for some comraderie/reassurance that this will get better in a few weeks. I don't know how much more of this I can take

Good luck to you - i hope it passes soon. I have no experience with prescription remedies but my "all day" sickness ended at 12 weeks with my first pregnancy, 15 weeks with this pregnancy. Some people get relief sooner.

Re: First Pregnancy and HORRIBLE MS
I'm so sorry you're going through this. I was really sick but I promise you, it did get better and I hope the same for you. I still have some nausea here and there but nothing like I had the first 12 weeks. I found that if I ate small meals and frequently that really helped but I know everyone is different.

Re: First Pregnancy and HORRIBLE MS
I'm so sorry! My first fifteen weeks were absolutely awful! Around 15 weeks it went from everyday, all day to once/twice a day. Now at 19 weeks it's not everyday. As hard as it is to hear, make sure you try to eat small meals-becoming hungry makes it 1000x worse. FM if you need anything else. I've been there-also, was the Zofran you were taking orally dissolving. I found that worked much better!

Re: First Pregnancy and HORRIBLE MS
My first was terrible! One of my first posts on here was your exact post! Just know ur not alone, we know it sucks, but you will get through it, and as much as it seems like you could never do it again, I did! (If you wanted to). I agree the orally dissolving one worked better this time around, but nothing worked for me with my first before 12 weeks. I was sick until 18 weeks, but zofran worked a little from 13-18. It should get better by 12-13. It was tolerable from 13-18.
Try sucking on a lemon, drinking lemonade. Bagels with cream cheese. Even though it's technically not good for you a bunch of labor and delivery nurses told me to drink a can of coke. For some reason the fizz really helped. Never let your stomach be empty. And take advantage of being able to take naps!! Goodluck!! You'll be through it soon!
Eta: also try always having lifesavers in between eating.

Unfortunately I haven't taken my prenatals in almost 2 weeks because I have simply been too sick.
