Restrictions after FET
Did you have any restrictions after an FET? (Limit stairs, lifting etc). Were you able to follow them? If you didn't follow them strictly, did you still have a BFP?

Re: Restrictions after FET
I had this same question because I just had my transfer today but I need to go I to work tonight at 11p and I'm a nurse. My doc said its completely fine the embryo isn't going to fall out lol but just take it easy as much as possible and don't lift anything heavy and stay hydrated. I'm sure it's the same or a FET. Also they said that if you workout just take a break from that for the first day.

Restrictions after FET
I was put on 48 hours bed rest and I really followed it. They said you could get up for meals and bathroom, but DH fed me meals in bed. They said absolutely no stairs. They also limited me to 5 lb lifting, no running, no swimming and avoiding bouncy activities until after my beta, and actually they extended those restrictions beyond. The no lifting heavy things was hard because of my job, but I tried very hard to follow it.
I had a BFP!

Restrictions after FET
I took the subway and train back from my transfer. We then drove 3 hours home. The next day I went about my life as usual but stopped strenuous exercise and just walked. I now have a 6 month old.

Re: Restrictions after FET
I'm so mad at myself. I had my transfer yesterday and the doctor told me to avoid stairs and lifting DS as much as I could. I forgot and lifted him a couple times yesterday and today I took him to a fair by myself and forgot the stroller so he walked for a while and then all of a sudden wanted to be held. I pray I didn't ruin everything because of my stupidity

Restrictions after FET
I was told just to take it easy, no heavy lifting or anything strenuous but to go about my normal routine. No sex...that one I followed lol
I will say this. I had two transfers. 1st one I didn't go to work for two days, stayed in bed and watched funny movies...bfn 2nd one, we went out to lunch on the way home and went back to work the next day. Bfp

Re: Restrictions after FET
I was just doing some research and I came across this article that said, the idea used to be bedrest post transfer but it has been studied that resuming activity has had better outcomes after IVF transfers. Of course I still wouldn't do anything strenuous. My nurse today also told me that they recommend walking around and that's it's good for blood flow.

Re: Restrictions after FET
After ivf, I took no precautions immediately after. Have a DS.
I did avoid cardio through pregnancies. Good data on that increasing early miscarriage.

Restrictions after FET
Dr T said recent studies showed better outcomes without bedrest. I was lifting my 2 yr old twins (son around 30lbs) as soon as I got home. There was no way around it. I also didnt take it easy - no time for that! And had a very stressful weekend due to other factors. Bfp.

Restrictions after FET
My FET that resulted in DD I had the flu(including day of transfer). I came home and rested a bit, but don't recall staying confined to a bed. My transfer last week I came home and "Tried" to rest but I have a 13 month old so it was a bit difficult. I picked her up; she's very active and I got a BFN.
I was hoping to get sick this last cycle(lol) because after 3 failed FET and 2 failed fresh cycles and the only one that worked was when my immune system was jacked up...I figured the flu might be worth it.

Lol they made me go pee after 5 minutes too and I looked at the nurse and said no I'm scared! And she was like Catherine! Trust me your little embryo is not going to fall out into the toilet! Lol.
