Had my baby boy :)
Hi ladies, had my baby boy last week at LIJ. Ended up having a repeat c section. Thanks to all who shared their experiences with me. It wasn't too bad but I feel recovery is worse this time.
The hospital itself while beautiful was so so. Some of the nurses were terrible, others good. I found the lactation dept seriously lacking. I had to wait 2 days before someone came after requesting them multiple times and when someone finally came they didn't even help me and told me if I was having a hard time to just pump. I wasn't too happy with that at all esp since they push breastfeeding.
I left after 3 days and now we are all home getting adjusted. :) baby boy was well worth the pain. Good luck to all on your pregnancies!

Congrats on your !!!
I had my DD there last year and it's a beautiful hospital but there were some issues with LC and a nurse did make a major violation when I was there(may have lost her job) but other than that lovely hospital.

Congrats on your little boy!!! Sorry you had a bad experience at the hospital but hopefully now you can relax at home and enjoy him!!

Congratulations! ! Had my DS there and stayed over Christmas 2 years ago. I also had a hard time seeing a LC but thought it was due to the holiday. It's unfortunate to hear it is common.

Lillies- dr Cohen was awesome too. He did my repeat c section and I was really nervous and he was just so laid back and reassuring. You are in good hands.
Also- siblings and kids under 16 were not allowed to visit :/
