Transverse baby at 28 weeks
We had a sono check today and baby girl is still transverse. The sono tech said we still have time for her to get into position but not too much time! How can I get this girl to move? She has stayed in this position for a while bc I always feel her toes in a specific spot and head and elbows in my RT rib cage :/ What are my chances that she will move? She's measuring perfect with weight and length with plenty of fluid so she said we will hope for a flip soon. Growth sono in 2 weeks so keeping my fingers crossed!!

Give a call to Andy, see if he can help move her, I'm sure he's got some tricks up his sleeve. I'm pretty sure you have another 9 weeks or so before any absolute decisions need to be made. I'm sure she'll turn in time! 28 weeks is still early, I think, I didn't have my 1st growth sono until 30+, and my second was Friday at 1 day shy of 34 weeks. I think had my placenta not moved enough, they would have just scheduled me for another sono in 2 weeks before making a decision.

what is transverse
When the baby is laying sideways along the belly, horizontally basically, versus vertex, which is head down tush up, and breach, which is head up, tush down.

what is transverse
She's sideways, not head down to the birth canal, which is what is necessary for birth.

Re: Transverse baby at 28 weeks
You still have time - Baby was breech until 32 weeks and then he flipped - he has been head down ever since (and he has always measured big and still had enough room). I was told not to worry until 35 weeks.
ETA - I heard there are some yoga positions that can help - google the cat/cow - I remember the instructor mentioning this one.

Transverse baby at 28 weeks
LO was transverse for a few days for me at 29 weeks. By the following week baby was head down. At my last appointment the NP had me nervous bc she said she though baby was still head down but my belly was very soft and I had lots of fluid so there was no way of knowing things wouldn't change. I definitely think you still have time!

Re: Transverse baby at 28 weeks
You can try a chiro that specializes in the webster method. You can also try acupunture (moxibustion). Check out spinning babies they have a lot of positions to try.
None of that worked for my breech baby but I had a successful external version, at 28w you have time so I would try everything, good luck!

Transverse baby at 28 weeks
At my 28 week sono he was breech. His head was in my right rib- I was getting a lot of pain there. They said he has time to move. I go back next week for my 32 week sono and hope he moved. My rib feels a bit better so I think he may have moved. If he hasn't I'm gonna research what I can do to get him to move.

Transverse baby at 28 weeks
You have so much time. Many babies are not in position at 28 weeks.
and if they were to flip they have time to flip back and back down again....

Re: Transverse baby at 28 weeks
B was breech until 34 weeks! I did one session of acu and was going to try moxibustion but he flipped. I have 3 new moxibustion sticks if u want them! You basically light them and wave them around your pinky toe lol but it supposedly can help. The acu gave them to me
