Anyone else do this when reading a book?

Keep notes of who the characters are, names, connections to one another and how they are played out in the story?

When I finished I usually put the notes inside the book.

I've been doing this since I started reading again this year. Maybe because I'm getting old and my memory is terrible

Anyone else do this when reading a book?

I have in the past, if a lot of characters its hard to keep track, or i'll find myself saying, who was so and so connected to lol

I really should do that, especially since I'll start a book, put it down, pick it up weeks later & not remember anything... but I'm too lazy.
