Beverages for a kids party
I am hosting a 5th birthday party for my son with some of his classmates who I have never met.
What do I serve to drink? I am serving pizza, chips/pretzels/cake? Is soda and juice acceptable in addition to water?
I will have soda for the parents to have with their sandwich.

Yes.
Or just do juice bags. You can pick them up pretty cheap in Target.

Parties we have been to have always been water, apple juice, sometimes lemonade or fruit punch. Never seen soda for the kids, but most have soda or soda and water for the adults.

100 % juice like fruit punch, cranapple or grape.
Even for adults I usually do flavored seltzer, diet coke or sprite zero or sparkling juice.

I would do water and juice. Yes, more and more I am seeing soda at these parties but, often the kids are drinking it as a novelty and it makes them crazy and that's not what you need a bunch of 5yr olds on a sugar/caffeine rush. Honestly, as a parent who hasn't yet given her kids soda I hate to see it offered!

I ended getting small water bottes and Minute Maid juice boxes at BJ's. Thanks for the advice all!
