Calculating due date
When your cycles are longer and you ovulate later. I went for an appt yesterday where I should have been 6weeks 1 day but I'm measuring 4 weeks 3 days. My cycle is 34 days and I ovulate around cd20. Doctor said the time sounds about right but how do you calculate this? Would this be like using conception date instead of lmp? Just trying to make sure everything is ok

Usually but if your cycles are longer the time doesn't always equal, I believe. That determination is based on 28 day cycles

there is a due date calculation I believe where you can change the cycle, if you believe it's longer or shorter. Is this what you mean?

I have long cycles as well. I went by 2 weeks before I ovulated and my calculations were 100% accurate when I saw the dr for the first time last week. Since it's normally based in 28 day cycles and ovulating at 14 days. You can use this one and use your ovulation date, it'll be more accurate.

Its possible you had a late implanter or you O'd later than you thought.

Not if you have longer cycles and ovulate later than a typical 28 day cycle.
My LMP was 5/28/13. We conceived around 6/20/13 which is about a week later than if I had a typical 28 day cycle. Her size always matched up to my calculations, not the doctors. Eventually they fixed it in their computers.

I have longer cycles and I'm going with the measurements from my first apt I was 6 weeks when I first saw my dc now I'm currently 8 and on the first apt they estimated my due date. Just keep in mind that due dates are an estimation you can go before or after.

My sono said 4 weeks 3 days. If I count back 4 weeks 3 days, it brings me to the date I believe I ovulated. But I'm just so confused about everything, :( the doctor and sono tech didn't seem concerned at all but it's hard not to worry

this happened with my first pregnancy too I thought I was 6 weeks but I was only 5 weeks when I saw my doctor first and we were not able to see anything which scared me to death. I strongly believe it's better to wait until you are at least 8 weeks to go to see your Ob but I know how exciting this time is and you want to see the baby right away hang in there if they weren't concerned I'm sure you will be ok.

I would have waited but I was due for a pap and I'm considered high risk so they brought me in for an early sonogram. I go back in 2 weeks but now I have 2 weeks to worry :/

They should be able to calculate due date by the ultrasound when you are a few more weeks along...
I had the same situation, was 2 weeks behind. I went in at 6weks and should have been 8 but everything was fine

I think at 8 weeks they'll see how the baby is measuring and give you a due date then. At 4 weeks it's too early to tell much of anything.
