appraisal-for refi
I am in the middle of a refi of my mortage. They said the home appraiser will need to come into the house to look around and take pictures. Is that normal? I cannot recall what happened when I bought the house.
Thanks!

Yes, when we refi'd a few months ago the woman looked in every room and took pictures. I think she maybe compared to what was on the MLS listing when we bought the house a few years ago.

Re: appraisal-for refi
Yes, normal. As far as what the appraiser does, it's the same process for a re-fi or a purchase. They come in, take measurements, photos, etc. But it shouldn't be a long process - 10-15 minutes, in and out.
