What is the best flat iron ever?
I had a chi. After having it less that two years the part where the cord and iron attached came apart and it only worked if I physically pushed it together. I called but it was only under warranty for a year.
So I got a new one that I paid for. Now again barely two years and where the top and bottom meet it's very loose and makes an annoying squeaking noise. Also I feel like it's barely hot and I can even quickly touch the plates.
I am done w chi. I know if I call they'll again do nothing bc it isn't covered. I think it was about $100 each time.
Any suggestions for a great one? My hair is long and naturally straight. But I like to use to smooth out fly always and use to flip hair under at the bottom.

What is the best flat iron ever?
I probably get a new CHI every 2-3 years because they break but I haven't found any other that work as good for me. I just bought my mom a hot tools for Christmas that someone recommended, but I can't vouch for it.

What is the best flat iron ever?
My Chi flat iron is an original -- going for like 12 years or something insane like that! My Chi blow dryer (rocket) has had a short in the wiring. My buddy was able to fix it -- and that is still going strong. Probably 5 yrs.
A lot of my friends like babyliss.

I nee done also. I see CHI has a tourmaline and titanium plate (one im looking at). Is this better?
And if so, what does better mean?

Honestly, I've been a faithful user of my cheapo hot tools (non ceramic) iron for YEARS. Like, 15 years. I'm on #3... they seem to last about 7 years each and then they die. But I love it. I have straight THICK hair, but use it to smooth out some frizz. LOVE hot tools.

I love my GHD iron. I've had it for over 3 years and it's still going strong. I have very curly hair and can get it pin straight without frizz. It also has an automatic shut off which I like bc sometimes I forget to shut it off!

I love them. They send a really great case/heat mat with all their flat irons and free samples of products. I won't order hair tools from anywhere else.

I'm on my 2nd Babyliss and I'm looking to replace it. I have wavy hair (and a LOT of it) and it gets very frizzy. My first babyliss shorted out on me randomly after maybe a year. I replaced it and this one I've had for maybe 2 years now but it really just doesn't impress me.
I still love the original CHI. I'll be going back to that soon.
