Talk to me about injectables...
I did my first round of clomid with an iui. There were 2 follicles, and my RE gave me the hsg trigger shot, and the IUI was the next day..so everything was well timed.
I'm getting AF.
So clomid and an IUI didn't work. I'm going to try a few more rounds of it but what if it doesn't do the trick? I read a lot of people who don't have success with clomid move on to injectables.
Any success stories with those? And more importantly, who does the injections? You or your RE?

Talk to me about injectables...
You do the injections yourself. As you get closer to ovulation, you'll go in more frequently (every day usually) for blood and sono monitoring. The nurses will call you that afternoon with your instructions for that night, which will include which and how much of the injections you should do.

as the post above said, you inject yourself, not bad after the first time.

I am a patient of Dr. Palter. My 1st cycle we tried clomid + back to back IUI and I got a BFN- the clomid thinned my lining so the next cycle we did injectables w/ b2b IUI and I got my BFP! I also did acupuncture. Good luck to you!

I did 3 cycles clomid - bfn
3 clomid iui cycles bfn
4 injectable iui cycles - 2 m/c, 1 baby (so 3bfp)

First pregnancy -
2 rounds of clomid + IUI = BFN
1 round of injectables + IUI = DS
Second pregnancy -
1 natural cycle + IUI = BFN
1 round of injectables + IUI = DD on the way!
