Valentines Day Dinner
I know it's a little early but every year DH and I get together with our friends for a couples dinner (10 people) so we like to make reservations in advance. We always go to expensive restaurants and this year DH and I would like to recommend a cheaper, but still nice restaurant to go to. We would like it to be in the Nassau area, but Queens works too.
These are the places we have been to and paid sooo much money: Macks Prime London Lenny's
Does anyone know of a more affordable nice restaurant?
TIA

King Umberto's in Elmont Park Place in Floral Park BrewVine in Franklin Square Plattduetsche in Franklin Square Koenig's in Floral Park
I would say these places all have reasonable prices, and they are all near the border of Nassau and Queens (since you said either place would work).

Valentines Day Dinner
I don't know Nassau terribly well, but there are some great, reasonable places in Bayside:
Trattoria 35 Veranda Maria's
BTW, I hate London Lennies with a burning passion and you're right, it is absurdly expensive.

Valentines Day Dinner
Havana Central just outside the Roosevelt Field Mall. It's Cuban food and absolutely amazing (one of DH & my favorite restaurants). Reasonably priced and the drinks are really good too.
Luigi's on Union Turnpike in New Hyde Park. Fresh pasta, nice staff. It's small but absolutely delicious.

Love Luigi's. It was "our spot" when DH and I lived in Bellerose, we would go almost every week, and we had our rehearsal dinner there. .. Havana Central is also great. Definitely loud and fun, especially for a large party

Luigi's is great! That's where DH and I went on our first date.
I also agree with King Umberto's in Elmont - excellent food!
