Stockings w a sweater dress?
I have a family party on Sunday and I'm planning to wear this sweater dress in red with high boots. Do I wear stockings or do I suck it up and freeze?

You can definitely wear tights. Actually, without tights or with sheer stockings, it seems strange, because it is definitely a wintery dress.
It is hard to say which color without seeing the tones of red.
I think brown books would look nice, so either tights in a similar shade of brown, or maybe a lighter tan.
If you are wearing the black boots, I'd go with gray tights.

I don't 'get' nude sheer stockings. they're NOT keeping your legs any warmer, so what's the point?

I know I'm in the minority with this, but I think you can get away with stockings as long as they blend well enough with your skin that you can hardly tell you're wearing them....no shiny stuff!
I don't think they'll keep you warm, but if you feel better wearing them, why not?!

Black tights with black boots would look great. I like the way the model looks, but not sure what color tights you would pair with that color boots. You may be able to do dark brown tights with dark brown boots, but may be hard to find the right pair.
