Bosch. You don't hear it. There's a little red dot that sines on the floor when it's on. Sometimes I forget to look and open it and get a steamed facial lol. Love ours and it's small, sleek but fits a ton

I have a frigidaire also. Can't even hear it when it is running. I have a stainless tub and I was told that makes a difference.

We have a whirlpool one, not expensive and it's pretty quiet. I usually don't realize when it running. And it does a great job.

Mine isn't stainless tub so it must also be their line. You can only hear mine if you are in the kitchen.....Otherwise I would never know it's on.
I grew up only running a dishwasher at night cause they were so loud....Now I run mine whenever.

We have a Bosch, and it is extremely quiet. DH and I went through Consumer Report ratings and looked for the one with the lowest decibel.

Re: Quiet Dishwasher
Bosch all the way. The only way I know if mine is on is if the red light is shining on the floor. It's so quiet that it needs a light on the floor to tell you when its on

Re: Quiet Dishwasher
Not a fan of Bosch dishwashers as they have no heated dry option and no food grinder. I have a Bosch in my vacation home and it not nearly as good as the KitchenAid I have here in NY.
I love having a heated dry option, a lot of times my dishes are never really 100% dry when taking out with the Bosch. Also one thing with Bosch it does not have a food grinder at the bottom. My kitchenaid will grind any food particles so i dont need to scrape anything off the plates. Throw in the dishwasher, plates come clean. With my Bosch, I get food particles washed around the dishwasher cause they don't exit when rinsing. I find food particles frequently near my soap dispenser. Yes the grinder adds noise, but I don't mind.
If given the choice, I only buy KitchenAid dishwashers. I don't know how loud or quiet they are, but my primary concern is the cleaning/drying of the dishes.

PS. The dishes come out dry. Extra shine and sanitize cycle. They are dry.
