If you had your anatomy scan at LIJ Katz....
Did the dr come in and do the sono after the sono tech did it?
The sono tech did all the measurements and then the dr came in and did more. The whole time they said everything was fine and looks good. They said I didn't have to come back or anything. I just got nervous Bc I felt like the dr was redoing what the sono tech already did.
Is this normal?

If you had your anatomy scan at LIJ Katz....
Same exact thing happened to me and I got freaked. Tech started to take measurements and did so for about 10-15 minutes. She then left room and had me lay on side (I'm assuming to get baby to move). Doctor came in 5 minutes later and asked me to move to another room with her. Doctor did rest of measurements with tech in room watching. Everything was perfectly fine, no red flags. The room I was moved into apparently had a better sono machine and tech was having hard time getting/seeing some of the measurements on the sono machine in the original room. Try not to worry (I know, easier said then done!)

Totally normal.... The Dr. is just reconfirming what the tech did prior.

That's exactly how they did it when I had my anatomy scan with ds there & everything was normal, I think that's just how they always do it.

Yes it's completely normal. I'm in the maternal fetal department at Winthrop and the doctors rescan the patients also. It's just in case the tech missed something.

Yes, that's normal. That's how mine was and my baby is healthy. They told me right away.

Same here! DH has a heart defect so I thought the dr was just coming in to take a look at that just in case.

My LO wasn't cooperating so the doc came in to try and get a few readings the tech couldn't get so I think my situation was a little bit different. I actually ended up having to go for a fetal echo but everything was fine. I think its standard protocol.

It's a teaching hospital so Drs will often double check measurements.
