Syringes

I have a ton of them to get rid of, how do you guys dispose of them?

My RE's office doesn't take them.

Oh that's annoying. I always just brought in my red container to the re. Is there a number you can call? What did your re suggest then?

Maybe call a local lab and see if you can just drop them off there

Re: Syringes

they suggested a local fire department, but I feel weird doing that. I have two of the red containers.

Re: Syringes

I asked RE this week and they said to either call the town for information on how/where to dispose of them or drop them off at an ER. I feel weird about it too.

yes, they have to take them, but it must be in a sealed can or container.

NO it is illegal to put out with regular trash, its considered medical waste. You must dispose of as such. If a garbageman or someone gets stuck with needle!!

just bring it as described above to any ER, Nassau county medical does not ask to fill out anything. They have a drop off just inside the entrance by the ER
