Vinyl shake - yay or nah?
We are residing the house, have a ranch so the bottom half is currently brick which we are removing and getting stacked stone - wondering if vinyl shake is the route to go above the stone??v the other 3 sides will be regular vinyl.
Thanks

We have that on the front of our house, and it looks really nice. We have natural stonework on part of the facade, too, and the stone and vinyl shake look definitely go together.

Def get the shake for the front.
We are residing this spring and doing shake in front and reg siding all around the rest. We have red brick facade on bottom.

I could go either way. For me, it wasn't worth the added expense to do the vinyl shake on the front of the house. It saved us a couple thousand to leave it as "regular" siding.
