2 yo getting up at 5 am ??

So my 2 year old son has been getting up at 5 am for the past week! His schedule hasn't really changed at all and he still takes a nap everyday. He actually sleeps worse if he doesn't nap. He usually goes to bed by 730-8 and used to sleep till 6 which was fine bc im up at 530 anyway for work but getting up at 5 especially on the weekend is making this pregnant momma tired! Any advice or tips?? Is this just a phase? Also he's been in a regular bed for over a month bc he was sleeping horrible in the crib

I don't really go on the parenting board but I'm on here everyday since I'm pregnant so was just asking if anyone had experience considering a lot of people on here are having their second or third child

Gotcha, makes sense. I would still try the parenting board since you will get a lot more responses and that board is also more active

My DD is up at 5:30am EVERYDAY! She usually goes to bed around 8:30pm (for the past few weeks). I'm hoping it's just a phase, because Saturdays is the only day I can stay in bed.

DS is also 2 and a few weeks ago he started waking up really early. Turned out he was getting 2 teeth, but we also pushed his bedtime back a bit later at night and that helped. He needed a little less sleep overnight.

I'm thinking he's getting his two year molars bc some days his hands are in the back of his mouth. Im gonna try pushing back his bedtime tonight and see if that helps!

DD went through a short stage like that. Can you put him in your bed in the morning? Make it a special treat. DD wakes up around 7 on the weekends but we tell her she can come in mommy and daddy's bed when it's light out. She will usually sleep w us until 8 or 9.

You can also try to give him some milk and maybe that will put him back to sleep for a little while.

Thanks for all the responses and suggestions! It's nice to know im not alone! Lol. Last night he actually slept a lot better. Went to bed at 8 then woke up around 545! Maybe the 8 o'clock bed time is what he needs! We will see how tonight goes!!

Not a child but my puppy has been waking me up at 4 and 5am to go out lately. She usually can hold out until 6:30 or 7 but for some reason she's been waking up earlier lately and is WIDE AWAKE and wants to eat and play so I kind of get the tiredness. Hopefully its just a growth spurt or a stage.

I find that my DS wakes up earlier if he goes down earlier. The past few nights he hasn't gone down until after 11pm! But slept until 8am.

I used Boiron Camilia Teething Relief at night when DD was teething.

Also, you may want to try giving him a snack before bed. Maybe he's waking up bc he's hungry in the morning.
