ABA Training/Certfication
Does anyone know where I can go for ABA training? I would like to get into EI (I have a Students with Disabilities lic. b-2) but I would want ABA training because that seems to be all there is available. Any idea on where I can go to get this training or even further prepare myself for EI?

look up some of the agencies Kidz therapy, All about kids, marion Salomon. they have abs trainings but I don't believe they go towards any certification

I am not sure what I would like. I want to work in EI and do some sort of ABA training because it seems to be where the jobs are. What is a BCBA?

BCBA is board certified behavior analyst. I would look into local agencies for training and local colleges. Do you have your teacher license? I would also look into TA jobs at a preschool. I got my beginnings of Aba training as a TA during college and then worked my way up.
Now I am completing my bcba. Most agencies will hire if you have a teacher license... As far as training the best way to get it is hands on on the job by a specialist/ supervisor
Also look into Elija I believe in Levittown- they are the gods of Aba so to speak! Lol

Thank you so much. I am a teacher...a Sped certified birth-2 and have my board of health letter. I would like to get out of the school system I just don't know which is my best option.

This is also something I am interested in. I'm certified art(k-12). Do you have to be certified special Ed to gets this aba or behavior analyst certification. What kind of jobs can you get after completion?

I would review the bacb website to review if your degree meats requirements note they change effective 12/31/15.

I would definitely recommend hands on training. I am working on my BCBA ( i currently work in EI) and a lot of sped teachers are leaving the classroom, coming into EI with little training......weekend seminars etc and its really not enough. FM me if you have any questions!
