Gym before work?
Anyone go to the gym before work? I have an 8 month DS and it's definitely the 'best' time for me to go. I just get nervous thinking about waking up so early. I would have to work out at 5am to get ready for work, etc. I know it'll be worth it... but it's so early!

Re: Gym before work?
I havent been able to work out since my car accident last year, but before that I would wake up at 4:45 to get to my gym at 5, workout till 6, shower there and go straight to work. It took some getting used to, but I felt great on the days I worked out. Working out in the morning helps you make better food choices throughout the day. Your less stressed and feel accomplished.
Going to bed earlier definitely helped...good luck...you may end up falling in love with a morning workout routine!

Gym before work?
Yes. I actually teach a spin class at 5:30 am before going to work. I love it. Stats the day off right and I feel energized all day

Re: Gym before work?
I can only work out before work. I can't plan to go after work because I just won't go.
I feel so good throughout the day though - it's worth it to get up and out of the house so early. I go to a gym in the city, by work, so I shower and get ready there and then either walk to ten blocks to work or hop back on the subway if the weather is crappy or if it's one of those zero-degree days.
It takes a little getting used to, but it's worth it! Also, from my experience, gyms aren't too crowded in the early morning. The people who are there want to be there...you don't see the types who just laze around on their cell phones, half-assing it and hogging up machines.

Gym before work?
In general I am not a morning person, I can not get up in the morning to save my life! When I was having problems with insomnia a while back I would go to the gym at 5 am. It worked for me at that time since I couldn't stand laying in bed trying to sleep, but I couldn't do it now.

Gym before work?
i can only workout in the am as well. I get up at 4:45am and am at the gym by 5am ish. I workout till about 6:15am i rush home i only live 5 mins away and shower and am on the train to NYC by 7:20ish. Just like the others said it takes a bit getting used to and at times you feel like the only one awake at that hour but you feel good all day. Good Luck you can do it.

Gym before work?
Thanks guys! I looked at gyms close to my job but nothing is close enough to make that enticing.
